The average normal human body temperature is 98.6°F (37°C). Actual body temperature of each individual varies by age, sex, activity, and time of day. The normal body temperature range varies by age. For children younger than 6 months or adults, body temperature does not change a lot each day. For children between 6 months and 2 years old, their daily body temperature varies about 1 degree. The daily body temperature range reaches to 2 degrees per day at the age of 6. Even though the temperature of adults are relatively stable, temperature of women in menstrual cycle can vary about 1 degree or more.

Human body temperature is typically highest in the evening. When you exercise, experience strong emotion, eat, have heavy clothing, take medications, stay in high temperature and humidity room, your temperature rises. A temperature not higher than 100.4°F (38°C) can be considered normal. When your temperature rises above 100.5°F, you are having a fever.
