Hyperhidrosis is the correct, medical term for excessive sweating. There are many reasons why this may occur from puberty, diet, climate, endocrine problems, illness and abnormalities, but hyperhidrosis is usually caused from genetics.
There are two types of hyperhidrosis: focal and general. Focal hyperhidrosis is when there is excessive sweating in specific areas of the body, while general hyperhidrosis is when the perspiration is all over the body.
If you want to sweat less, then this can be done in a variety of ways. Surgery and medicines are the most effective solutions, but there are other alternative methods such as gels, creams and electronic devices.
