Mario & Daniel, you might try booting with the > kernel boot parameter "acpi_backlight=vendor" which should disable > acpi_video0 leaving only intel_backlight.
Hold the right arrow key until you go all the way to the right of the alsamixer display and press M to unmute the last control there.

All is good. Sorry this didn't fix things for you guys. However, the probing still fails and the module can't be used. Majority of the time the Fn F4 or F5 works pretty well, but sometimes it doesn't.
