The only damage was cosmetic (screen bezel, palm rest, hinges, top case) anyways I ordered the parts and replaced them. Sticky, erratic sensitivity. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling with a driver from the Asus website, but now I am told I have to uninstall the previous version, which I already did.
The weird thing is the trackpoint and touchpad do not share cables and the keyboard works fine.
