I did it without a heat gun, but I would imagine that with a heat gun it would be a ton easier.
also take out the battery and you can see the bottom of trackpad to see if there is something stick there.
I don't think I'm clicking it wrong.

So, the odds are your touchpad driver is current and not the source of your touchpad problems. Maybe the touchpad feels too sensitive, registering phantom clicks and gestures. Pressing "enter" seems to allow it to move again but only for a few seconds. Sometimes it's annoying 'cause if I'm clicking on something that's not big, the arrow ends up moving and I end up clicking something else or nothing at all. It's almost like the trackpad button is to tight a fit for the hole in the case, and binds. Anyways, to kind of comment on cparrish's post, I was also told by a Samsung support person that there was a spring under the trackpad that could be cleaned.
