Given that the self-powered device works fine, I don't believe this is a hardward issue and all of my "Plug and Play" defaults are set appropriately as far as I can u can get one of those 'pci card with usb ports'. If this doesn't work, you can also try to download the driver for your device from the manufacturer's website. I would think this has to be a software issue with the new Windows 10 installation as the cause. check over here

Last night I had left my computer up and idle for maybe an hour, I came back to it and somehow all the devices connected to USB ports stopped working. We haven't really been able to find any other solution to this problem other than reducing the number of items connected to the hub. After removing the hub and connecting the device directly to the computer, it worked just fine. My last thing to try is finding old drivers from ASUS and force feed them to windows...i'm pretty sure i'll get the obsolete message again. If not, then it's definitely an issue with the device.
