Anyone got an idea of how to fix it? can i safely carry on plugging my hard drives, both self powered and mains powered, into the usb ports without damaging them? Any help? Anyone know anything?

Thought I was going to have to take the whole thing apart again.
If only the port itself is being replaced the USB hub in Device Manager should be fine.
