I tried turning my computer off and on again, but for once it won't work... Try Ctrl Panel, Mouse, then Mouse Settings. Click where it says: Settings and the rest is self explanatory. Apparently this is the result of a corrupted driver or a virus designed to annoy.

If you want to try a software solution before breaking out the toolkit, try ClickFix . I won't be supporting a company that does things like this.

I cant believe it worked. I then took a pointed object (ice pick, tiny screw driver) and from the top gently pressed down on the inside rounded part of the spring until it clipped into place No need to do it again after 6 months I suppose.
