A cotton swab can come in handy here, just be careful and don't disassemble the key switch unless you know what you're doing.
After mine went into hibernate - then I woke it - only the mouse worked. I tried: Scan Disk option, Repairing Driver, Reinstalling Driver, Restore point also, Device hardware restore under F8 Diagnostic Tools and finally factory restore since I had no data i cared about. Replacing with a new USB keyboard solved the problem on my AMD FX-4100 Desktop.
